Bridging Design, Connection & Healing
My journey to Art Therapy has been guided by my passion for creating healing environments—physical, digital, or emotional—so that a person can thrive. With a background in Interior Design (BFA) and a career as a Commission Painter, I have spent many years translating visual language and human emotion. Whether I am translating a client’s personal history into a custom painting or designing sensory-aware spaces, I’ve witnessed firsthand how art can act as a bridge when words fall short.
My experience developing AI-driven educational tools for special education, my work as a caregiver and art teacher, has taught me that the act of "making" is a profound expression of agency and self-discovery. These roles have reinforced the importance of active listening, emotional intelligence, and meeting individuals exactly where they are in their journey.
Now, as an Art Therapy graduate student, I am intentionally weaving these threads together. I am committed to applying my foundations in spatial design and fine art to cultivate safe, generative spaces where people can nurture their inner worlds, explore creative approaches, and find self-compassion on their healing journey.
